A walkthrough of my experience

At 17, I delved into the world of digital marketing, launching my first online apparel business and exploring dropshipping. It was a pivotal moment when I experienced initial success with an online protein bottle shop.

To learn more about marketing, I was presented with the opportunity to begin my first job at Yu Tang Zhi Jia (House of Fish Soup), a role I undertook during my internship at PwC Singapore, where I excelled in driving brand awareness through strategic Influencer Marketing campaigns on Instagram. Additionally, I implemented effective paid advertising strategies on Facebook and Instagram, leveraging brand awareness and re-targeting campaigns to boost foot traffic. I also played a key role in creating compelling organic social media content.

Transitioning to Apex Trading, I took charge of 5 figures of monthly ad spend across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Through my efforts, we achieved remarkable online sales exceeding $20M. This success led to an opportunity to manage three brands, with the Managing Director establishing new subsidiaries specifically catering to online leads.

Joining Ascend Digital, I contributed my expertise across multiple subsidiaries: Ascend Marketing Agency, LeapVista, and Salesable.

Here, I crafted marketing strategies for diverse clients ranging from Course Creators, eCommerce stores, Brick and Mortar businesses, to SaaS companies on platforms like Facebook and YouTube.

Notably, I played an integral role in building two marketing departments from the ground up, collaborating closely with the CMO.

Later, at AdLeg, I focused on marketing for Info-Product Businesses and SaaS companies on Google and YouTube. My responsibilities included managing direct-sale, VSL (Video Sales Letter), and webinar funnels, utilizing data-driven strategies to drive sales and optimize performance.

There are limitations to optimising solely through an ad manager. This realisation prompted me to broaden my skill set, enabling me to optimise through the entire customer journey.

While my expertise lies in Media Buying, I've also developed strong proficiencies in Copywriting, Funnel Building, Funnel Economics, Conversion Rate Optimisation, and Email/CRM Automations. This diverse skill set empowers me to explore innovative approaches for streamlining the marketing message and optimising Average Order Value Contribution (AOV) and Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV).

Industry: Real Estate

The client is selling a high ticket coaching programme for realtors through a Webinar Funnel. 

The challenge was the high cost per lead and attendance rate of Live Webinars. Besides that, most of the attendees were already exposed to the use of Live Webinars, and already expects a sales pitch, which makes closing high ticket much more difficult. 

We implemented a new strategy to sell a low ticket 3-day bootcamp on the Live Webinar, cushioning the high cost per lead. The bootcamp would then be used to pitch the high ticket coaching programme, turning a profit on the backend.

Niche: Financial Market (Stocks)

The client is selling a high ticket forex trading course through a VSL Call Funnel.

Initially, they couldn't scale past $1k/day, and their salesperson were struggling with getting enough calls. 

Every time they scaled past $1k/day, ROAS would either breakeven or result in a loss.  

The bottleneck was in their offer, and prospects aren't converting because market awareness is at an accountability stage. 

After optimising their VSL and offer, we managed to scale to $5k/day.

Industry: Financial Market (Forex)

The client is selling a high ticket forex trading coaching programme through a VSL Call Funnel. 

The challenge was an inconsistency in call quality, with their salesperson finding it hard to have a predictable close. 

Got the client to launch a book funnel that consists of up-sells and cross-sells by repurposing their current course materials, with a free 1-on-1 coaching session. This coaching call also acts as a pitch for the high ticket coaching programme. 

This way, we can sustain higher ad costs while generating calls on the backend with increased quality and intent.

Niche: Affiliate Marketing

The client is selling a high ticket affiliate marketing mentorship through a VSL Call Funnel. 

Initially when the client launched their funnel, cost per call was at $500+.

By optimising the campaigns alone, cost per call was brought to the $300 range, but it wasn't good enough. 

After optimising their VSL and backend, cost per call was brought down to the $100 - $120 range. 

We've also introduced low ticket products for leads that do not hit the minimum criteria for booking a call, which helped to increase our tolerance for higher ad costs.

Niche: Financial Market (Futures & Options)

The client is selling a low ticket advanced futures trading software using a VSL funnel.

They also have multiple products I can leverage on for AOV contribution. 

They were already successful in Facebook Ads. The challenge was expanding onto YouTube profitably. 

The initial struggle was to get them to breakeven on the frontend as sales conversion rates were low.  

Hence, I went with a two-pronged approach and optimised their VSL and leveraged other products that they have to re-capture abandoned sales.

Niche: Financial Market (Forex)

The client is selling multiple high ticket automated trading bots through a free 3-day mini course.

The challenge was to even make a sale through the mini course as the products are mid 4-figures to 5-figures and requires isolated attention.

The conversion rate through the mini course was low (as expected), and we were only able to breakeven, or sometimes result in a loss. 

However, after getting the client to implement a bi-weekly webinar through the backend, we managed to gain profitability. 

We also introduced low ticket products with the goal to breakeven on ad costs while increasing CLTV.

This offer did well organically prior to launching paid ads, so this is just a supplement to his already winning organic funnel. 

The challenge was that we weren't allowed to change anything on the funnel as the client wanted to optimise the funnel themselves. 

Other than that, they aren't able to scale as they couldn't take on new students as quickly as they'd like.
